Owner
JORGE CHAVEZ
was admitted to the California bar in 1999. He is a graduate of the University of California Los Angeles with a degree in History and went on to obtain his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. Mr. Chavez has exclusively practiced workers’ compensation defense for the past 20 years and is an active member of the Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorneys’ Association. His defense of workers’ compensation claims has resulted in several “Take Nothing” Awards for his clients. Mr. Chavez commenced his workers’ compensation defense experience as an Associate Attorney at Grancell, Lebovitz, et al in Los Angeles. He later worked for Louie & Stettler beginning in 2001, where he advanced to Managing Partner of the Burbank office from 2007 through 2009. In 2010 he partnered with Lance to found Chavez & Breault.

LANCE BREAULT
manages our South Bay office located in Torrance. Mr. Breault obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from University of California Los Angeles before earning his Juris Doctorate at University of Southern California Law Center. Mr. Breault has practiced workers’ compensation defense exclusively since 1999 and has extensive trial experience. Mr. Breault is a member of both the Workers’ Compensation Section of the California Bar Association, as well as the Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorneys’ Association. Prior to founding Chavez & Breault Mr. Breault received his training from a large workers’ compensation defense firm before moving on to a mid-size firm where he quickly rose to the level of Managing Partner of the Orange County office.
VANESSA CHAVEZ
Vanessa Chavez has been a practicing Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney since 1999. She graduated with honors from Glendale University College of Law, earning an American Jurisprudence Award and serving on Law Review. An accomplished attorney, Mrs. Chavez has handled all aspects of litigation taking countless depositions, QME and AME Cross-examinations, and achieving numerous successful outcomes at Trial. Mrs. Chavez has been an Associate Attorney for Chavez & Breault since 2010. Her main WCAB venues are Van Nuys, Los Angeles and Oxnard.
KEITH GREENE
Keith Greene joined the Torrance location of Chavez & Breault in 2014. Mr. Greene began his career as a solo-practice attorney, where he litigated a diverse array of matters, including workers’ compensation claims representing the interests of real estate developers, contractors, and small business owners. Mr. Greene’s strong work ethic and dedication to his clients’ interests are reflected in his various accolades, including being named a Rising Star by Super Lawyers.
TANUDEEP RANAUTA
Tanudeep Ranauta is a senior associate attorney at our Westlake Village office. Mrs. Ranauta graduated from University of La Verne School of Law in 2010. Mrs. Ranauta began her legal career in 2011 in civil litigation. Since 2013 Mrs. Ranauta has been practicing exclusively as a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney.. Since joining Chavez & Breault in 2015, Mrs. Ranauta has provided excellent results while representing insurance companies, third party administrators and self-insured employers in all aspects of workers’ compensation claims.
RANDALL STODDARD
JOANNA HOHENSTEIN
Joanna Hohenstein joined Chavez & Breault in 2024 and is assigned to our Northern California office. She is available to cover all venues throughout California. Mrs. Hohenstein attended Sonoma State University where she graduated cum laude, earning Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Political Science. She received her Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University, School of Law. As a 12 year attorney she brings a wealth of experience to the firm. She began her career as a probate and trust litigation attorney representing clients throughout Northern California before entering the field of Workers Compensation defense in 2013. Mrs. Hohenstein has handled all aspects of litigation and works zealously to represent her clients.
Outside of her work activities, Mrs. Hohenstein enjoys hiking, traveling and gardening. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.
